Strong Finish

It is hard to believe that we are already looking at the first of August just a little over a week away! It is time for the mature bucks to show us a strong finish to the antler growing season. Most of the main frames are in place and now it is just a matter of adding tine length and possibly some main beam length. This is the time of year when you should see that drop tine develop if it is going happen.
We spent two days clipping all of our food plots this week and hopefully the weather pattern will continue and we can get a little jump start rain for them. It has felt more like summer this week with the temps in the eighties. Combine these high temps with the early rain and it has all of the clover looking great. The acorn crop is continuing to look exceptional again this year. It should turn into a bumper crop and make the ridge hunting very exciting this season.
