Early Winter?

The last week has reminded us that Mother Nature doesn’t really care what NE Ohio thinks about her weather! We were in the mid-forties this time last week and then just to make sure we were awake she hit us with twenties and 24” of lake effect snow over the weekend. Next we bounced back up to almost forty and settled the snow just in time for it to start snowing again! Predicting highs in the teens next two days and then high forties and rain for the weekend! I guess you could say we are going to get an early winter?
The trophy bucks have settled back into their post rut groove and it should lead us directly into a scaled down version for late December. The younger does will be in the hot seat next and that can make those mature bucks travel again for the next couple of weeks. We have several great trophy bucks still here and what would make a more special Christmas gift than an Ohio deer hunt at Oak Ridge for that unsuccessful hunter in your family?
