Year End Yo-Yo!

The last week of 2016 has given us a lot of ups and down! The Browns won a game! That has to be a high, right? The temperatures rose to 68 degrees on Monday! That was a new record high! We had a lot of rain which helped to remove most of our old snow and now we are left with only dirty push piles. The temperatures dropped back down into the low 30’s and we now have a fresh clean white blanket this morning.

The trophy bucks are back on the move as the secondary rut has fired up. The deer hunting in Ohio can be very exciting this time of year with the bucks chasing and a snowy background. You might have to double check the antlers just to make sure all of the tines are still intact. Once we break over into the New Year the deer will all have a chance to settle back down into the normal winter routines. These routines can provide hunters with a last chance to close the deal on those mature trophy bucks as they rest and recover from the long exciting fall rut season!

We hope that you all have a safe and Happy New Year and we are looking forward to a great 2017!
