Augtober?

Unless some changes really soon I think we are going to go straight into winter this year. It feels like October already and it is only the middle of August. (Augtober?) These forty degree mornings feel great and really get you fired up for hunting season but what do they mean for later in the year? If the leaves start changing next week watch out!

We are getting pumped for hunting season and our trophy bucks continue to become more active every day. As the velvet tightens and the temps get cooler it has them on the move. We were able to catch a few better photos of the large non-typical this week while it is not the greatest photo it is the best he has given us. Some trophy bucks don’t like their picture taken. Ohio Trophy Bucks in general tend to start moving deeper into the cover about this time of year. It happens every year and if you plan to hunt Ohio you need to plan accordingly. It will be a good idea if you have a set up deeper into the cover when you can still possibly see that mature buck during the daylight hours.
