After spending some extended time in the Oak Ridge stands I can tell you that our mature trophy bucks look the best they ever have since we started. Sure we have some great non-typical bucks but by far our strength is the clean typical framed bucks. Dan could not pass the temptation of this great 6x6 with split T-2’s. This great buck did have one 3” non-typical tine behind his left brow tine but otherwise he was perfect. The only noticeable difference from his right to left side would be his right T-5 is 1 ½” longer than the right.
If you are still looking to hunt Ohio deer this year we still have dates open and you can now see what we have to offer this season. We were watching several bucks this last week that are 5x5 or 6x6 and they are all pretty clean trophy bucks.
