Once again we have a lot to be thankful for here at Oak Ridge Whitetail Adventure! We have had a great 2014 season and there is more still to come this year. Our friends Stanley and Cynthia joined us again this year for the Thanksgiving week and we have had another great week of hunting and sharing with them. Stanley took an incredible 5x6 typical buck that had a total of 3 5/8” of non-typical and an inside spread of 23 5/8”. What a great looking trophy! The “Big Brother” buck came in following a younger doe which indicates that our secondary rut has begun a little early this year.
Our weather has turned a little more normal for late November with the temps in the high twenties and rising into the forties during the afternoon. Our snow has all left us for now but they are calling for a fresh coating to possibly arrive over the next few days. There are several states that will be having their gun seasons start next Monday and a fresh snow would help those hunters have a more successful Monday.
We still have four hunts available for this season and have open dates after December 20th. If you are looking for that last minute hunt or Christmas present give us a call or email anytime! We hope all of you have a Happy Thanksgiving and Go Bucks!
