Big Boy Toys!

For the first time in about a month I feel like we will be able to get over this winter and I mean get over it! We have been having access problems for the last month due to the deep snow and drifts. After a lot of research we found what appeared to be a solution. After a trip to Mike’s Bikes and More in Jefferson we have what has become the solution to our access problems. For the first time in over a month we were able to ride the entire perimeter fence! The snow shoes will still be employed for the shed antler hunting but on a much smaller schedule. These tracks are made by Camoplast and have been a game changer for us.

The weather continues to be extremely cold for this time of year. We are hoping that the “lion” that ushered in March will be the beginning of the end for Ole Man Winter in NE Ohio. The snow will still be around for a while yet as Lake Erie is still 100% froze over. Once the ice starts to pull back it will fire up our spring snow machine again. So we have that to look forward to yet… Looks like a short steelhead season this year but the fishermen will be thick on the rivers as everyone is anxious to get outside again!
