“Acorn Ridge” Completed

The spring weather has finally broke and it has been perfect for most of the last week. The April showers have found us but the sun seems to be winning more every week. The May flowers have started to pop and everything at Oak Ridge is starting to look and sound like spring now.

The break in the weather has allowed us to complete the new “Acorn Ridge” stand and it is now ready for use this fall. Thanks to our “Name the Stand” contest we also have the new sign attached. Rich was the final winner of the contest and was here last week for turkeys and steelhead which allowed us to include him in the final touches of the new stand. Thank you to everyone that forwarded us entries for the new name. Stanley came in second with “Oak Bluff” and Jack finished third with “The Office”. All of the entries were great and we had a lot of fun and several good laughs with them this spring. (Thanks to the three judges also for their time.)
