Memorial Day

It is really hard to believe that we are already headed into the Memorial Day weekend and the start of summer! The cold temperatures have returned and it is in the fifties for highs with another frost advisory last night. I will be glad when we can get past these late frost warnings! Two months ago when they called for highs in the fifties we were in shorts and tee shirts and now after a week of eighty to ninety we are freezing?

I have started mowing the clover plots this week and they look great for this time of year. There are also some apples getting started now and if we can keep from freezing them it should be a good year. The finishing touches are also going into the Acorn Ridge stand and it should be 100% completed by the end of this week. The Condo Stand has also been getting some remodeling this week and I served an eviction notice to the family of mice that had moved in this winter!

The bucks are looking great and you can start to see now who the trophy bucks will be come fall. The frames that I have been seeing show that it should be another year for huge typical and judging from the mass (Velvet discounted) there are going to be some big mature bucks that push our record books.
