Early Summer

What an exciting time of year. The weather can change in an instant, the kids are out of school and the bucks are growing antlers! The deer are on the move right now and you can see them anytime during the day out in the fields. They are trying to slip away from the black flies and deer flies in the woods. The time that we can see them will slip away quickly as the farmers’ crops gain height and cover the ground.

The bucks all look impressive right now with the velvet and it will get you pretty fired up for this fall to see them. The younger bucks are putting on the frames already and you can see some T-3 and T-4’s starting to grow. The trophy bucks are slightly behind this time of year because of the massive bases they require to support their impressive racks.
