As the calendar changed over to July so did our weather in NE Ohio. We were fortunate to have a great July 4th weekend and everyone took full advantage celebrating our Independence Day! The local farmers also took the chance and finally were able to put up some of our first cutting of hay. They rains are slated to return this week along with much warmer temps so it should be the beginning of our dog days.

The trophy bucks are over half way through the antler growing season and it can be easily seen by their great racks. The mature bucks are sporting heavy mass now and the tines are starting to lengthen quickly. There is also some excitement with a few of the trophy bucks as at least three of them are now starting drop tines! They have been successful in avoiding the cameras so far but I hope to be able to share photos of them soon.
