Countdown

As August gets under way it is time for the high school football teams to hit the practice fields. This also means that the nights and mornings will be getting cooler with each passing day as the daylight hours slowly slip away toward fall. All of this adds up to the countdown to hunt season 2015!

Our mature bucks are looking great and they are adding the last inches of this year as the velvet begins to lighten in color and is growing tighter every day. Soon we will see the tips pushing thru the velvet and the hard antlers of fall will follow directly. It looks like we will have a couple of bucks that may be chasing our current ORWA record and may even top the 400” mark! Our largest buck is a wide non-typical but has a great balanced look and heavy main frame. This is going to get exciting quickly once the season begins!
