Post Rut

The trophy bucks are starting to slow down on the rut now as the does seem to be less pushed. It should be another great time to get your doe bleat can going as they will still be looking for one more doe. The peak rut was very windy for us and we were fortunate to have Amy take a great buck early in her hunt. She made a perfect shot with her Ten Point Titan to close the deal on her first deer and what a way to start!

The bucks should be slipping back into their fall patterns now as the rut tapers off in NE Ohio. It should be toward the end of December before the secondary rut starts up with the younger does. Hopefully by the end of the season we will be seeing a white ground to help add that special holiday feeling to our later hunts!
