Last Monday we were right at zero with clear skies and no snow. Saturday we were forty-nine with rain showers. Today it is raining and forty-three and we are under a lake effect snow warning for the next forty-eight hours! You have to love this stuff or you would have moved away, right? It’s January and it is supposed to be winter so let’s get it over with so we can look forward to spring in March!
Our deer love these little breaks as they expose the green food plots and provide them with easy pickings. The rut is pretty much over for this year and the trophy bucks have once again started to group back together. They have been trying to re-build their body levels and are very much back into the routines that make them easier to hunt. We are looking forward to a great finish to our season and still have several mature bucks left available.
