Strong Finish

As January is coming to a close so are our hunts for this season. We have been finishing on a couple of high notes. Huson and Lisa joined us again this year and we gave them just what they were looking for on their hunt, snow and cold topped off with a great trophy buck! Huson decided to try our new Horton Storm RDX and was not disappointed when he took this 266” “Crown Buck”! That first buck with a crossbow is always exciting but when you add in the pressure of the 266” Trophy Buck it takes some strong nerves to make the good shot!

Our weather keeps up with the roller coaster that NE Ohio promises and we are near forty degrees right now and they are calling for rain this afternoon! Looks like it will be back to mud after a short couple of weeks with snow. There is still a lot of winter left to come but the short break in temperature is nice for the deer. The bucks will soon be dropping their antlers and it will be time to begin hunting for those sheds! (Maybe we can sneak in one or two more hunts before they start dropping!)
