(Racks Near Completion!)
As we near the middle of July it is not disappointing us. The temperatures are in the nineties and the dew points are in the mid-seventies. This combination makes for some long sleepless nights! These temperatures are giving the food plots a little challenge but that can turn quickly in NE Ohio.
The fawns are starting to show the adult forms of their mothers now and have lost that gangly look. They are moving regularly on their own know and that should give the does a little break. The bucks are now in the home stretch for antler growth and it is mainly tine length that is still changing. The velvet will begin to tighten over the next month and by early September they will begin the fall rituals. It is hard to believe that we are closing in on the hard antlers again and before you know it we will be in the stand again!
