(Dang Nice Critters!)

If you like the heat during the summer then you would be happy in NE Ohio right now! Our muggy days have continued and so far we are still staying really dry. We had 2 ¼” of rain from a thunderstorm last Friday AM and within a day you could not even tell that we had had a drop. The deer have been moving mainly after dark while it is a little cooler with the exception being to move away from the swarm of deer flies.

The antlers should be close to completion now. They may add a little more length to the tines but there will not be any major changes coming during this last month of growth. You will also start to see them shedding some of the summer red hair in the next month as they being to prepare for their brown winter hair. I sure hope it starts to cool off as we get closer to early fall!
